Cuba to promote int’l cooperation at Ibero-American Summit

Havana, Mar 23 (Prensa Latina) Cuba, as president of the Group of 77 (G-77) plus China, will call at the 28th Ibero-American Summit to promote more and better international cooperation, so necessary for the South.

On his Twitter account, Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez stated that the forum, to be held in the Dominican Republic on March 24-25, will succeed by promoting inclusive and sustainable cooperation.

The Santo Domingo Summit is an excellent opportunity to move forward. Financial and technological transfers to developing countries and equitable access to resources that reverse the current enormous inequalities could and should be facilitated,’ the foreign minister said in a video on Twitter.

The head of Cuban diplomacy expressed confidence that the firm rejection of the arbitrary and unilateral designation of Cuba as a State Sponsor of Terrorism by the United States would be demonstrated during the meeting.

Cuba also expects to have the traditional and valuable support of Ibero-America in the just demand to end Washington’s blockade against the Cuban people. jg/iff/mem/mpp
