Ryabkov noted that Washington is already a direct part of the conflict by supplying Kiev with increasingly lethal, long-range modern weaponry, aimed at saturating the battlefield on the Ukrainian side, TASS reported this Wednesday.

The deputy foreign minister said that the US Congress does not realize “the consequences that such initiatives could have for the security of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, and in general, for the prospects of a relative normalization of relations with Washington.”

Politico newspaper reported earlier that four senior Republican officers in the US Senate and House of Representatives sent a letter to US President Joe Biden urging him to supply cluster ammunition to Ukraine.
