Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitri Chernyshenko, Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko and other officials saw off Xi Jinping at the departure gate.
According to the office of the Russian presidency, the Chinese leader ended his two-day visit on Wednesday, having completed a program of talks both individually as well as in the composition of delegations with his counterpart, Vladimir Putin.
The Russian Federation was the first country visited by Xi Jinping since his re-election for a third term by the National People’s Congress (Parliament) on March 10th.
In an informal meeting with Putin, the Chinese leader invited his Russian counterpart to visit China this year.
Following the meeting, Russia and China issued a joint statement on deepening comprehensive partnership and strategic interaction in a new era.
