According to the MINSAP report, 14,331,133 samples have been tested for the SARS-Cov-2 coronavirus, 1,112,736 of which have been positive cases, since the outbreak of the pandemic in Cuba in March 2020.
A total of 56 patients were hospitalized, including 23 suspected and 36 active cases, one of whom is seriously ill and 35 are clinically stable.
No deaths were reported due to the disease, so the total death toll remains at 8,530.
The eight new patients, five men and three women, reside in the provinces of Artemisa, Mayabeque, Matanzas, Ciego de Avila, Holguin, and Granma.
Regarding the Covid-19 vaccination strategy nationwide, MINSAP statistics show that 43,790,538 doses of Cuba’s Soberana 02, Soberana Plus, and Abdala homegrown vaccines have been administrated so far.
