The evaluation was made during a meeting between General Phan Van Giang, defense minister and member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Vietnam, and Sandeep Arya, Indian ambassador to Vietnam.
During the dialogue, Van Giang offered the Indian diplomat his contribution for the deepening and efficient development of defense cooperation, in response to the hopes of both peoples, for peace, stability in the region and in the world.
The Minister also reaffirmed the high importance attached by Vietnam to the bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership, and praised the friendly and traditional relations between the two nations, which has developed in all sectors.
Based on the Joint Vision Statement on defense relations up to 2023, both sides have efficiently deployed dialogues, consultations, trainings, military industry and participation in UN peacekeeping missions, Van Giang stressed.
The Indian ambassador, in turn, reassured India´s commitment to deploy maximum efforts to contribute to the boosting of binational relations, and in particular, defense cooperation.
