On Twitter, Bruno Rodriguez reaffirmed his country´s willingness to continue strengthening historic brotherhood, solidarity and cooperation relations with Algerian government and people.

Mr. Attaf has been serving as Algerian ambassador to India, Yugoslavia and the United Kingdom.

In November 2022, Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel traveled to Algeria to boost economic, trade, financial and cooperation relations. At that time, health, energy, renewable sources, the medical-pharmaceutical industry, and cultural, educational and scientific-technological contacts were identified as areas of common interest.

Thousands of Cuban health professionals have served in Algeria since May 23, 1963, when the first Internationalist Medical Brigade arrived in the African nation.
