Cuban deputy foreign minister meets with Al Mayadeen president

Havana, Mar 15 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister Josefina Vidal met on Wednesday with the president of the Arabic television channel Al Mayadeen, Ghassan Ben Jeddou, within the framework of his working visit to Cuba.

The Foreign Ministry informed that Vidal praised the professionalism and journalistic rigor of the prominent journalist and television presenter, who stands out for his trajectory of solidarity with Cuba and unconditional commitment to the defense of the Cuban Revolution.

She also congratulated him on the recent granting of the Friendship Medal bestowed by the Council of State at the proposal of the Cuban Institute for Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), and delivered Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel.

Also present at the meeting were Wafy Ibrahim, head of the Spanish-language website of the television channel and advisor for Latin American affairs; the Foreign Press Director of the Foreign Ministry, Rebeca Hernandez, and the director of North Africa and the Middle East Department at the Foreign Ministry, Alexander Pellicer.
