The Cuban leader detailed on Twitter that this initiative was proposed by Xi in the context of the 2nd High-Level Dialogue between the Communist Party of China (CPC) and Political Parties of the World.

At the opening ceremony, Xi Jinping stressed that tolerance, coexistence, exchanges and mutual learning among different civilizations play an irreplaceable role for modernization process of humanity to advance.

Xi urged for any program should include the construction of a better planet for future generations, while calling for respect for the right of each nation to explore its own path to modernization.

In this regard, Xi referred to China’s goal of becoming a modern socialist state by mid-century and also the CCP’s commitment to strengthen exchanges with other parties to set up a new model of international relations.
