Venezuelan Foreign Ministry stressed the so-called “International Conference in Solidarity with Venezuelan Refugees and Migrants and their host countries and communities”, to be held this month, is aimed at seeking huge sums of money.

The text denounced manipulation and shameless disregard for scientific rigor in handling migrant figures, which constitutes an attack on the rights inherent to human mobility and distances these institutions from the mandate granted by the United Nations (UN).

The communiqué pointed out that in spite of Venezuela being subject to 929 criminal unilateral coercive measures, its Government managed to find the avenue to economic recovery, and strengthened the ¨Return to the Homeland¨ Plan.

This President Nicolás Maduro´s inniciative is “a powerful mechanism” that guarantees the assisted and orderly return of tens of thousands of compatriots.

Venezuela urged the United Nations System and its member countries not to allow themselves to be duped in a new aggression plan against the South American nation and called for the immediate cessation of all unilateral coercive measures.
