Security Secretariat officials said that three weapons, two long and one short, one of which matches the ballistic evidence in the case, eight magazines, 93 cartridges, and two tactical vests were seized.
Five vehicles related to the events, a Chrysler Pacifica van where the victims were transported, three other vans, and an ambulance, were also seized.
The Mexican Government, in coordination with state authorities in Tamaulipas, reported the progress of the investigations in the case of four US citizens who were kidnapped and later found in a cabin: one was wounded, one was unharmed, and two more killed.
The investigation is in the hands of the State Prosecutor’s Office.
An Inter-Institutional Working Group, consisting of the Secretary of National Defense, the Secretary of the Navy, and the Secretary of Security and Civil Protection, among others, is also participating in the investigations.
