The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates denounced in a statement that the Knesset (Legislative)’s decision is another step to legalize many outposts in that region.
Although the UN and the world consider all Israeli settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem illegal, Tel Aviv authorities distinguish between those that are and those that are not authorized.
Mostly outposts, germs of future settlements, are built by ultra-right sectors and groups without the consent of the Government, which have caused clashes in the past.
The Palestinian Foreign Ministry criticized the initiative, pointing out that it leads to plundering more land, deepening the settlements, and expanding the bases of Israeli terrorism in the occupied territories.
That project means a dangerous escalation of the situation and a disregard for the efforts done by several countries to reduce tensions, the ministry warned.
