At a meeting with Mirjana Jeremić, head of Diplomatic Protocol at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Rodriguez affirmed that he has the honor of representing a country that defends its sovereignty against the United States economic, commercial and financial blockade, which hinders Cuba’s development and the Cuban people’s full enjoyment of their human rights.

He expressed Cuba’s respect for the territorial integrity of Serbia and for the norms of international law, according to the Cuban Embassy.

At the meeting, the two diplomats excelled the existing potential to further improve bilateral relations, with a special emphasis on the promotion of commercial interests and investments for the mutual benefit and economic development of both countries.
