The Cuba Coopération France (CubaCoop) association welcomes the delegation headed by deputy governor of the province, Yolexis Rodríguez.
Meetings with the French Development Agency, businessmen, mayors, councilors, deputies to the National Assembly and members of solidarity with Cuba are the major parts of the visiting group’s agenda.
Agriculture, health, urban planning, culture, sports, water and sanitation are among the sectors to be addressed by the delegation until March 22nd.
In addition to the activities planned in various communes of the Parisian Region, the delegation of the government of the province of Cienfuegos will hold meetings in the city of Bordeaux and the northern department of Côtes-d’Armor.
CubaCoop has been committed to decentralized cooperation with Cuba since its creation in 1995, as a way to support the country’s development while facing challenges, particularly, the consequences of the United States blockade against Cuba.
The financing of projects, the promotion of investments and the encouragement of the contribution of public and private French persons willing to work with Cuba are part of the actions of the association, led by Víctor Fernández.
CubaCoop has promoted over a hundred collaborative actions in Cienfuegos since 2006 in areas of health, education, childhood, environment, culture, heritage, water and sports, for the benefit of the local population.
