The exhibition, entitled “Diago: An Art for All Times,” covers several stages of his creation as an artist and can be seen at the Clément Foundation of Martinique.
The artist managed to gather a variety of artworks made with materials he has found, such as wood, rusted iron, and leather, to explore the impact of time and history in the construction of identity and memory, according to the specialized blog thecubanartobserver.
The exhibition allows Diago’s contemporary art to connect with his reflections on the history of slavery and racial oppression in Cuba and the world, so that wherever there is a similar memory, as in Martinique, viewers embark in an emotional and psychological exploration in this regard.
