On his Twitter account, the head of State pointed out that Xi’s ratification is an expression of the people’s confidence in his valuable contributions to the cause of socialism, and “we are honored to have his close friendship and that of the Chinese people, party and government,” Diaz-Canel added.
The Chinese National People’s Congress unanimously reelected Xi for a third term, on a day when he also appointed other senior state officials.
