As reported by the official on Friday to the Vzgliad newspaper, the experience of different wars that have occurred in the territory has been taken into account for the construction of the defensive system.
Aksionov added that he can’t reveal all the details of the defensive works due to its strategic importance, but it is known that they are asymmetrical, and many of these plans were elaborated since the beginning of the last century.
He also said that a large number of people are working in the construction of the defensive line, because “if you want peace, prepare for war. So we better be ready. Both Crimea and all of Russia will sleep in peace in this regard,” he stated.
Residents of Crimea told the NBC television channel, during an interview, that they are ready to defend the peninsula in case of any attempted attack from Ukraine.
