Nurses, midwives and other health professionals expressed their despair over low salaries, shortage of workers and falling standards of care.
According to the survey, nearly a quarter of 636,348 respondents stated they are likely to look for a job outside the NHS in the next 12 months.
Similarly, just 61.8% of nurses and midwives expressed their satisfaction with the standard of care if a friend or family member needed to be treated, representing a 12% drop over the past two years.
Plus, 21.3% said there are enough staff to handle their responsibility properly, compared to 33.4% in a similar study in 2020, and only 25.6% reported satisfaction with their payment.
Meanwhile, 40% of ambulance workers witnessed mistakes or accidents in 2022 that could harm patients or workers.
