Cracking down on drugs, cybersecurity, organized crime and money laundering were some of major issues discussed by the AMERIPOL delegation at the event, attended by nearly 174 nations, AMERIPOL Executive Secretary Delegate Milton Fornazari told Prensa Latina.
According to Fornazari, it was stressed the pressing need to reach integration among the 35 Police forces or Homologous Institutions and 30 Observer Organizations, whose purpose is to promote and strengthen technical-scientific exchanges and training matters.
AMERIPOL is made up of different nations including Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Chile, Nicaragua, and others, which would work together on technical-scientific cooperation, information exchange, criminal investigation support, and judicial assistance.
