“Yanmar Group will cease all operations at our local subsidiary, Yanmar RUS LLC, as soon as procedures are completed. The termination of operations is expected to take effect from early April 2023,” the company stated on Wednesday.

Yanmar’s Russian subsidiary has conducted sales and services of industrial equipment and other service parts since February 2014. In 2022, its businesses was limited to some operations such as customer service.

Yanmar, whose history dates back to 1912, was the first ever to succeed in making a compact diesel engine of practical size in 1933.

A pioneer in diesel engine technology, Yanmar is a global innovator in a wide range of industrial equipment.
