According to the Ministry of Defense, all possible gaps in the defense lines are being closed while weapons are being set up and bunkers are built as needed.
The fortifications are being reinforced so that they can withstand artillery fire. This is a work being done around the clock. If the artillery is active during the day, then work begins at night, the Ministry of Defense stated.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces, on the western bank of the Dnieper River, have built observation posts from which they carry out reconnaissance and electronic warfare, the source said.
