His comments were made during a meeting with Tamara Rastovak, President of the Executive Board of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), held in Cairo, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ahmed Abu Zeid said in a press release.
Shoukry stated that any discussion within the organization must focus on its main tasks: to promote education, science, and culture.
During the meeting, the two officials discussed the role of UNESCO in supporting the requests of member States to restore their stolen cultural heritage and properties.
