On Tuesday morning, the South Korean army fired over 30 cannon shells at the Cho-ri firing range in Jindong Cantonment of Phaju City of Kyonggi Province, located in the front of the Western Front Zone.

This gunfire was a very dangerous armed provocation which further worsens the situation created, the spokesman said.

Immediately after the situation, the KPA EMG ordered the artillery units belonging to the No. 2 Corps to maintain the standby state of assault with fire.

Vigilance was also arranged over the front in general and for the anti-aircraft battle.
