The diplomat told Prensa Latina that the tribute to the Venezuelan leader was held at the Landmark complex in Baku, and was attended by a large group of students and professors of the Spanish Center of the Azerbaijan University of Languages and representatives of the diplomatic corps.
The head of the diplomatic mission of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Baku, Christopher Martinez, evoked passages of Chavez’s life and highlighted his actions in favor of Latin American and Caribbean unity, as well as his integrationist vocation.
Martinez highlighted the Venezuelan leader’s role in the struggle for the unity within the Non Aligned Movement, and his position in favor of the fair causes of the nations of Asia, Africa and Latin America.
