This will be the president’s second official trip abroad this year, since on January 1st he visited Brazil for the assumption of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
Lacalle Pou will travel to the Dominican Republic accompanied by Foreign Minister Francisco Bustillo.
The event brings together the governments of the 22 Latin American countries, as well as Spain, Portugal and Andorra.
Among the topics to be discussed in this edition will be the Ibero-American Environmental Charter, environmental rights, food security and international financing.
