Due to the strikes organized by the Educational Institute of Scotland (EIS), most state primary and secondary schools would remain closed.
The initiative gained strength in constituencies of senior politicians such as those represented by First Minister Nicola Sturgeon, leader of the Scottish National Party from November 2014 to her resignation in-mid February.
The EIS foresees three days of protests next week, followed by a program of continuous regional demonstrations for 20 days affecting all educational centers as of March 13.
