A total of 8,305 patients were recorded in that department, becoming the epicenter of the epidemic, followed by Beni with 1,156, Tarija with 869, La Paz with 331, Chuquisaca with 232, Cochabamba with 111, and Pando with 72.
According to the Health Ministry, 296 new contagions were reported on Monday, and so far, 33 people have died due to the disease transmitted by the Aedes Aegypti mosquito.
