“This trip is a message of solidarity with the peoples of both nations”, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
The visit coincides with another made by Egyptian House Speaker Hanafy El-Gebaly to Syria, the first to Damascus by a senior Egyptian official since 2011.
In recent weeks, the government of Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has sent several ships and planes loaded with medical supplies and food to help the victims of the quakes.
The earthquakes on February 6th killed more than 50,000 people in southern Türkiye and northern Syria.
