The head of State, who was interviewed by Rossiya-1 on Sunday, noted that the West only wants to admit Russia to the so-called “family of civilized nations” by breaking the country into separate regions.
“And later, after annihilating Russia, they will perhaps admit us into the so-called family of civilized nations, but only by parts, each part separately. What for? For ordering these parts around and putting them under their control,” Putin noted.
“Russia is the successor of the USSR in the legal sense; we are not talking about legal maxims, but about potentials. Today’s Russia has a different potential. We understand this and agree that the world must change,” he explained.
Russia should keep the nuclear potential of not only the United States but all other North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) countries, as the Alliance considers its leading goal is to defeat it strategically, Putin assured.
The Russian leader pointed out that he was convinced that multipolarity and respect for all countries in the international arena, taking into account the interests of its members, will prevail in the world.
