According to the CEO’s announcement made this Friday, on his Telegram channel, the Russian units occupied the village after fierce fighting, which means one more step towards the complete encircling of Artiomovsk (known as Bakhmut by the Ukrainians).
On February 17th, Prigozhin reported that the town of Paraskoviyevka, also close to Artiomovsk, was liberated by the Russian Armed Forces.
Artiomovsk is located in the part of Donetsk still controlled by Kiev’s forces, north of the city of Gorlovka, and is a major transport hub for supplies to Ukrainian forces in the Donbass region.
