Joe Biden is ready for reelection run, first lady says

Jill-Biden
Washington, Feb 24 (Prensa Latina) First lady Jill Biden said that President Joe Biden will run for a second term, giving one of the strongest nods toward a 2024 bid from the president´s inner circle.

“He says he has not done,¨ Jill Biden told the press in an interview in Kenya on Friday. “He´s not finished what he´s started. And that´s what´s important,¨ The Hill reported.

“How many times does he have to say it for you to believe it?” she added.

Joe Biden is expected to make an official decision in the coming months but has made other nods to a reelection bid; in his State of the Union address, the president said about a dozen times that he wants to “finish the job.” On February 10, Biden said he was not ready to announce a candidacy.

Biden turned 80 on November 20 and went down in the history of the United States as the first in office at that age, amid speculation as to whether this will affect his political future, to the point of preventing him from a reelection run.

According to Fox News political analyst Juan Williams, Americans want a “slow and steady” leader, who gets things done and offers a reassuring presence, far from Donald Trump´s stance.

Even, Republican politician Newt Gingrich mentioned that we must learn to stop underestimating Joe Biden, and considered him the “nearly inevitable” Democratic candidate for 2024 elections.
