A total of 233 citizens returned to Venezuela from Peru

Peru1
Caracas, Feb 24 (Prensa Latina) A total of 233 Venezuelan citizens on Friday returned to the country from Peru as part of the social program "Plan Vuelta a la Patria" (Return to the Homeland Plan), the Ministry of the People's Power for Foreign Affairs reported on Twitter.

The Venezuelan nationals arrived at Simon Bolivar International Airport in Maiquetia, La Guaira state, early Friday and were received by authorities and relatives, according to television reports.

This initiative, promoted by the Government of President Nicolas Maduro since 2018, supports Venezuelan migrants abroad who do not have the means to return and is framed in the new Bolivarian Diplomacy of Peace.

Since its implementation almost five years ago, this social program by the Bolivarian Revolution has benefited more than 31,000 people who returned from 25 countries. More than 170 flights and one maritime transfer have been carried out, official sources reported.

On February 14, ninety-three other people returned to the Bolivarian Republic from Ecuador.
