Putin pointed out that “an effective and modern Army and fleet are essential to the country’s security and sovereignty, a guarantee of its stable development, of its future.”
In this context, the president said that the authorities would work to develop all components of the Armed Forces, improve military training, and equip troops with new attack systems, intelligence and communications means, drones, and artillery.
The head of State added that the Army would receive new Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missiles in 2023, the production of Kinzhal hypersonic missiles will continue, and the Tsirkon hypersonic missiles will be supplied.
Russia commemorates this event on a date when the Soviet era was recalled as the day of the founding of the Red Army, in memory of its first military victories against German troops in 1918.
