The president of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, assured previously that he had no intention of supplying other countries with weapons and ammunition that could be used in the conflict in Ukraine.

In addition, the Brazilian newspaper Folha de Sao Paulo reported that Brasilia will not provide Ukraine with ammunition for the (practically obsolete) German-made and -supplied Leopard main battle tanks, despite the request made by Berlin.
