Led by Parliament President Esteban Lazo Hernandez, they began the tour at the Industrial Instrumentation and Control Company (EICI˗MIDAS), an institution that specializes in the production and sale of resistors for the country’s energy saving program.
At the meeting, the candidates were interested in the progress of production, the fulfillment of plans, the workers’ salary and the search for alternatives to ensure the proposed goals, the Parliament reported on its website.
They also discussed Cuba’s economic challenges, the inflationary situation, the need to increase food and industrial production, among other issues of public interest.
They learned that EICI˗MIDAS currently produces partially due to the country’s economic complexities that affect the supply of raw materials. However, in 2022, the company produced 210,000 electrical resistances, exceeding the plan proposed for last year.
The company also provides repair, maintenance and manufacturing services for hot line equipment.
