Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal-al-Mekdad, who described the relations between Damascus and Yerevan as historical and solid, received Mirzoyan at the International Airport in this capital.

We thanked Armenia for its noble stance and solidarity with the Syrian people in these difficult circumstances, Al-Mekdad said.

The Armenian minister arrived in this country aboard a plane loaded with 36 tons of food and relief supplies to help those affected by the recent earthquakes.
