Syrian villagers expelled US-backed separatist militia in Deir-Ezzor

Damascus, Feb 22 (Prensa Latina) Residents of the town of Al-Sabha in the northeastern Syrian province of Deir Ezzor, today expelled the armed forces of the so-called Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), a US-backed separatist militia, reported activists here.

After their expulsion, the SDF sent a large force to re-enter the town with the support of US helicopters, which triggered machine-gun clashes with the residents, the sources detailed.

They added that the militia did not achieve its objective while a state of anger reigns in the town towards this illegal armed formation and the United States troops in the area.

The SDF is a Kurdish-majority irregular group that dominates most of Syria’s oil-rich al-Jazeera region and receives arms, money and training from the US occupation forces.

Popular actions are increasing against this illegal entity due to popular outrage arising from its criminal practices against the residents and its subservience to the United States, in addition to the theft of Syrian oil and crops.
