As Gaguin posted on his Telegram channel this Wednesday, the combat initiative is now in the hands of Russian fighters, so the surrender of that Ukrainian stronghold is only a matter of time.
Artyomovsk, called Bakhmut in Ukraine, is about 55 kilometers northeast of Donetsk and remains a leading transport hub for enemy forces in the Donbass, Gaguin added.
At the moment, heavy fighting is underway in the enclave.
The adviser stated that Russian troops have already liberated several villages on the outskirts of Artyomovsk, such as Khreshchenivka, Podgorodnoye, and Praskoveyevka.
