According to the foreign minister, additional troops and military equipment are being transferred to Poland, Latvia, and Lithuania, not to mention the construction of fences along its border, Belta news agency reported on Wednesday.
Given this situation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs should accurately perform the tasks set by the head of State, such as concentrating efforts on the defense of national sovereignty, reorienting economic activity abroad, and putting up resistance to information, political, and economic pressure, he noted.
Aleinik also said that another fundamental task is to minimize the damage caused by sanctions the West has been imposing against Belarus.
“We assume that the new reality is not only a battlefield for our survival but opens a window of new possibilities, leads us to reconsider priorities and discover new footholds and niches of interaction in the international arena,” he stressed.
