The MINSAP daily report stated that on Tuesday 29 patients remained hospitalized, including 13 suspected and 16 confirmed cases.
Since the outbreak of the pandemic in March 2020, Cuba has accumulated 14,314,110 samples, 1,112,561 of which have tested positive for Covid-19.
Of the new cases, five were contacts of confirmed cases, two were infected abroad, and the source of contagion was not identified in one case.
Health authorities reported that the death toll remains at 8,530.
Cuba’s lethality rate is 0.77 percent, a figure that is lower than the world’s 1.00 percent and the Americas’ 1.54 percent.
