The press release added that Carrillo’s promotion was endorsed by her experience, knowledge and the work she has done for several years in different positions within the corporation and other entities related to Havana cigars (Cuba’s Premium hand-rolled cigars).

Carrillo has a degree in International Economic Relations. She became acquainted with the world of tobacco since the beginning of her professional career and she was part of the founding team of Corporacion Habanos S.A.

In that company, she held various responsibilities in the areas of Sales, Marketing and Business Development.

From 2006 to 2011, she worked as Marketing Director and Head of Havanesa stores in the company Empor S.A., the Exclusive Distributor in Portugal.

Subsequently, the expert herself was appointed president of Comercial Iberoamericana S.A. (Coiba) based in Spain. Upon completion of that task in 2021, she became General Director of Tabagest S.A., until her recent appointment as co-president of the company.
