Lebanese Hezbollah movement sends second batch of aid to Syria (+Photos)

Beirut, Feb 18 (Prensa Latina) The Hezbollah movement in Lebanon sent a second batch of humanitarian aid to Syria, more than a week after the impact of the devastating earthquakes.

The Lebanese Resistance will deliver a shipment of 600 tons of food and medical supplies for the victims in the region of Aleppo, said Adnan Mokaddam, general director of Civil Defense of the Islamic Health Authority.

In the same sense, the deputy head of the Executive Council of the Shiite force, Ali Damoush, ratified the duty of extending a helping hand to the people in needs in Syria.

The Hezbollah member reaffirmed the commitment of his organization to accompany the pain of the Syrian people in light of the inhumane and unfair sanctions imposed by the United States.

Damoush said he trusts on the strength of Syria to emerge victorious, overcome the effects and repercussions of this terrible tragedy that left more than 5,840 deaths and enormous destruction.

Last Sunday, Hizbullah sent the first support convoy to Syria consisting of 23 trucks with 500 tons of medical supplies and food for the affected people in the city of Latakia.

A few days ago, the General Secretary of the Resistance, Hassan Nasrallah, renewed his message of condolences to both the government and the people of Syria and Türkiye, e victims of the earthquakes that struck both countries on Monday, February 6th.

Regarding the policies adopted by Washington in relation to Syria, Hizbullah leader stated that the US government had left people to die in the first days of the earthquakes through its sanctions.
