Arias specified that the boat was seized at 185 kilometers off the coast of Sierpe, in the province of Puntarenas.
He explained that the vessel, a two-engine fast boat without registration, name, or flag, was crewed by two Costa Ricans, both with drug possession records.
Once on land, agents of the Drug Control Police reported having found 641 packages of cocaine and 524 of marijuana, each weighing nearly one kilogram, for a sum of 1,165 kilograms.
The crew members and the boat were placed under the orders of the Public Ministry, Arias said.
