“Gazprom has an ambitious task ahead of it to unite the gas infrastructure of European and Eastern regions,” the company’s press service stated on Telegram.
The data presented by the company on the occasion of its 30th anniversary shows that the fields suitable for natural gas extraction hover around 35 trillion cubic meters, a figure with which it could supply considerable volumes to Beijing.
Regarding the celebration, Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a video message to more than 490,000 workers of the gas giant, in which he celebrated Gazprom’s world leadership in available deposits, extraction volumes, and natural gas deliveries.
The company’s plans “responds to the national interests of Russia as one of the sovereign centers of the multipolar world”, the head of State said.
