At the beginning of the meeting held in the Moscow region, Putin said that a part of the meeting would be dedicated to providing the guidelines for a wide-format summit between the two Governments.

He also highlighted the trade growth between Moscow and Minsk, which has reached a record volume since last year, equivalent to more than 43 billion dollars.

Before continuing the meeting behind closed doors, the Russian head of State said that thanks to Lukashenko’s efforts, the industrial sector had been preserved as a legacy of the Soviet Union and then “developed positively.”

Lukashenko assured his country fully complied with the security and defense agreements with Russia in 2022.

Putin insisted that the work strengthening the State of the Union also lays the foundation for further development in the bilateral economic sphere.
