In an article published by La Prensa, the Bogota´s Ministry of Foreign Affairs offered condolences to relatives of the victims from Colombia and other countries and assured that it would assist them as appropriate.
In regards with the accident in Los Planes de Gualaca region, in Chiriqui province, where a bus that was transporting some 66 travelers fell into a precipice, Ecuador also identified at least seven of its nationals among the injured.
The newspaper adds that it is the first official report Quito offered of its 22 citizens traveling in the bus involved in the accident after the identification process conducted between Ecuadorian and Panamanian authorities.
On Wednesday, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez conveyed his “condolences to relatives of the victims of the accident in Gualaca, Panama, which involved irregular migrants,Cuban citizens among them .”
