Danilov told the Vesti newspaper on Sunday, after the cascading resignations of major officers from the Customs Service and the Ministry of Defense, that the same purge will take place in Security and in the law-enforcement corps.

President Vladimir Zelensky announced in a video message that “new personnel decisions are expected in all branches of the Government” but he did not specify which departments they would affect.

In recent weeks, Ukrainian media reported on a series of corruption scandals, including at the Ministry of Defense in the area of food procurement for the army.

On January 22, Zelensky announced upcoming personnel changes, followed by a series of resignations. All those deposed were charged with embezzlement and theft.
