Garcia noted that in order to continue to make progress, emphasis must be made on work and creativity of hotel managers, now with more powers to make alliances and ensure operations with fewer imports and a broader presence of local products.

The minister, together with Deivy Perez, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party and first secretary of that organization in Sancti Spiritus, and Governor Teresita Romero, presided over the annual balance of Mintur in this central province.

Regarding the projections of the Provincial Camping Company and the Islazul hotel chain, the minister pointed out that they must rehabilitate their services for the domestic market.

Islazul needs to expedite the constructive actions that will allow recovering its offers for the summer season, mainly in the Zaza hotel, located in the provincial capital, Garcia pointed out.

He recognized the historic, cultural and patrimonial values of the province as it holds two of the first villages founded by the Spanish conquistadors: Sancti Spiritus and Trinidad, which are 509 years old. jg/jha/rga
