Israeli authorities are presently working to prevent the Palestinian presence in Jerusalem, Al Hadmi condemned.
The political discourse must be translated into a plan of action on the ground, Al Hadmi said. The rights of Jerusalemites are being violated on a daily basis through murder, forced displacement, house demolitions and ongoing incursions into the Al Aqsa Mosque, a Muslim holy site, he said.
The meeting was attended by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, high-level representatives from Arab countries, as well as from the UN and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, EU, AU and the Gulf Cooperation Council officials, in addition to religious leaders, lawmakers, trade unions, civil society organizations and experts in international law.
During the meeting it will be proposed to create a legal committee of Arab legal experts to follow up on crimes against Palestinian people.
