According to local authorities, DAESH opened fire on civilians while they were picking truffled mushrooms in an area about 70 km south of the city of Palmyra.

Wael Jihad Antakli, resident doctor at the hospital in Palmyra, said the bodies of four victims, including a woman, and 10 wounded, some of them seriously, were taken to the hospital.

Some of the injured are in serious condition and were transferred to hospitals in the city of Homs for better treatment, he said.
