The diplomat said in an interview with Zvezda television this Saturday that the classics say that any military operation ends with negotiations, and we have already said that we will be ready for them.
At the same time, Vershinin noted that the decision to negotiate with Moscow was not taken in Kiev but in Washington and Brussels. “First, negotiations have already taken place in Minsk and Istanbul,” he stated.
On that occasion, the talks were interrupted by the Ukrainian side. Although we know the decision is not taken in Kiev, it is taken in other capitals, and they should be addressed, Vershinin added.
The Russian diplomat also commented on the possibility of holding such talks under US President Joe Biden’s administration.
